Lining - standards and GOST

Lining is the most traditional finishing material for wooden buildings, widely used in construction for more than a decade.

Подробнее

When choosing for interior and exterior finishing material, many give their preference to lining. The lining is a thin cladding board, which has a thorn-groove connection, is distinguished by aesthetic appeal, does not require any particular difficulties in maintenance, the service life with careful handling can be 15-25 years, due to its texture it creates additional coziness and comfort in the room ... One of the main advantages of lining, in comparison with other finishing materials, is its relatively low price. It also earned its widespread use in construction by creating a suitable microclimate inside the premises, in the hot season it is not stuffy in such rooms, but in cold warmth and dry.

In order for the finishing material to match the general interior of the room, it is worth considering a number of features. Important characteristics when choosing a lining are the material of its manufacture, grade and type of profile. Varying these features allows you to choose your original design for each customer, taking into account all taste preferences.

The main criterion for the quality of the lining is the grade regulated by GOST 8242-88 and by the Western European standard DIN 68-126 / 86, TU. The quality of the lining, before going on sale, is determined by the following parameters: moisture, quantity, size and condition of knots, compliance with the specified geometric parameters, fungal infections, cracks, wormholes, species and direction of sawing wood. After that the lining is assigned the class "A", "B", "C", corresponding to grades 1, 2 and 3.

The given table makes it possible to get the necessary ideas about the quality of the lining:

Humidity: 14% +\- 2%.

Size: thickness 12.5 mm, width 96 mm, width of the working surface 88 mm, spike 8 mm.

Tolerance: in thickness - / + 0.5mm, in width - / + 1 mm, in length - + 25 / -12mm
